Other witnesses, farmers among them reported similar experiences with farm animals behaving oddly before one occurred and afterwards having seen steam rising from the finished circle, indicating that substantial heat was involved in its making. Also in the aftermath, magnetic anomalies have been noted. Compasses unable to find north and with several non-naturally occurring isotopes being created in the vicinity that have taken several hours to dissipate. The heat has been estimated to be at around 1500 degrees Celsius affecting the water table by evaporation and leaving the soil in a baked condition, its crystalline structure altered and all without destroying the crop itself which is merely bent close to the ground with the stems laid up uniformly in the same direction whereas in the artificial man made circles, it is actually crushed and the stems broken.

Leaving full blown scepticism aside there have now been sufficient examples of genuine circles for serious studies to have been undertaken and while no permanent conclusions have yet been arrived at, definite links have been established, certainly to Stonehenge and Avebury but also to stone circles elsewhere. It is as if something about the proximity of the stones themselves seems to have been a factor. In 1996 a pilot flying over Stonehenge at 4.15pm reported nothing unusual. 15 minutes later, though the actual time of the occurrence is disputed, another pilot also flying over Stonehenge reported a huge 300m formation resembling the Julia set computer fractal. Comprising 149 circles and aligned along a spiral curve, it lay in a field across the A303 road, which runs alongside the well-patrolled monument.

Kingdton zodiac

So where is the connection to astrology? I believe it is in the existence of land or earth zodiacs, one of which is the nearby Glastonbury Giants so called, but also others including the Kingston zodiac in Surrey close to the town of Kingston -on -Thames. These were said to have been discovered in the early twentieth century using both aerial photography and dowsing. Giant figures in the landscape have been identified that correspond to the signs of the zodiac and have been drawn out on ordnance survey maps of the areas to aid identification

Aerial photography of land zodiacs suggest that ground features such as burial mounds, hills, ancient pathways, the run of streams etc. go to make up the characters and shapes of zodiac signs though sometimes not quite as we envisage them in modern astrology. For example Sagittarius in the Glastonbury zodiac seems to be a helmeted soldier on horseback rather than a centaur, but nonetheless identifiable and in the correct order between Scorpio and Capricorn. What seems to be suggested here are that both of these phenomena, crop circles and land zodiacs have possibly been created in the same way by the same unknown forces, but where do these forces originate?

In previous articles I have put the case that our own personal astrology as manifested in our charts originates first in the Sun’s magnetic field. A field that combined with the plasma of the solar wind extends far beyond our system and is known as the interplanetary magnetic field. A cosmic ocean of magnetic flux and plasma that is created is then disturbed and modified by the planets’ motions which build up huge electrical charges around themselves as they move in their orbits. This causes a resonant magnetic pattern in the sun’s magnetosphere. A pattern that is then transferred to the earth’s field by magnetic induction, and finally to our own personal fields, our auras, at the time of birth. However, the fields involved seem also to possess components of magnetism vibrating at a subtler rate not detectable by current instruments but possibly detected by the human brain and psyche. I have coined the expression hyper-magnetism to describe this level.
